The opening day of GPS 2026 also featured two panel discussions: "Innovative Drug Development in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area" and "Hong Kong as a Sports, Cultural and Recreational Hub".
In addition, Mr Septime Webre, Artistic Director of the Hong Kong Ballet, gave a presentation on "Telling Hong Kong's Story through Art".

Cham Swiss Properties AG hat den nächsten Schritt zur vollständigen Übernahme der Bredella Beteiligungen AG vollzogen. Das in Cham (ZG) ansässige Immobilienunternehmen schuf im Rahmen einer Kapitalerhöhung 1'427'668 neue Namenaktien aus dem bestehenden Kapitalband, die inzwischen im Handelsregister eingetragen sind. Hintergrund ist eine am 4. Juni 2026 angekündigte Transaktion, mit der Cham Swiss Properties sämtliche Minderheitsanteile an der Bredella Beteiligungen AG im Weg eines Aktientauschs erwerben will.
Mit der Ausgabe der neuen Papiere steigt die Zahl der ausstehenden Namenaktien um 3,0% auf neu 48'906'622. Die Handelszulassung der zusätzlichen Titel an der SIX Swiss Exchange erfolgt am heutigen Tag. Der eigentliche Aktientausch zum Erwerb der verbleibenden Bredella-Anteile soll den Angaben zufolge innerhalb der kommenden zehn Tage abgeschlossen werden.
Cham Swiss Properties war 2025 aus der Fusion der Ina Invest AG und der Cham Group AG hervorgegangen und zählt nach eigenen Angaben zu den Eigentümern eines der hochwertigsten Immobilienportfolios in der Schweiz. Der Fokus liegt auf der Entwicklung von Wohn- und Arbeitsräumen an zentralen Lagen mit guter Anbindung an den öffentlichen Verkehr.
